Baseball Recap: Greenwood Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Greenwood Christian Academy and Indianapolis Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Greenwood Christian Academy had to settle for second. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Caden Camden and Landon Hurley did some serious damage despite the final result: Camden went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Hurley got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Hurley has become a key player for Greenwood Christian Academy: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-13 otherwise.

Greenwood Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

As of now, neither Greenwood Christian Academy nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
