Recap: Spring Lions vs. Eisenhower Eagles

Even though the Eisenhower Eagles scored an imposing 66 points on Wednesday, the Spring Lions still came out on top. Spring skirted past Eisenhower 69-66. Given Spring's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Eisenhower is ranked 941st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Cedric Richardson, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Elijah Pittman, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.

The victory makes it two in a row for Spring and bumps their season record up to 12-9. As for Eisenhower, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-17.

Spring will take on Westfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Eisenhower, they will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin Davis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
