Baseball Recap: Strathmore Finds Home Field Redemption Against Golden Valley

There's no place like home for Strathmore, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Golden Valley Bulldogs 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since April 18, 2024.

Strathmore got a massive performance out of Valentin Araujo, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Roman Hernandez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Strathmore's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Golden Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1.

Strathmore didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-7 win against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on the 24th. As for Golden Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 17-0 defeat against Morro Bay on the 25th.
