Baseball Game Preview: St. Clair Cyclones vs. Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers

The St. Clair Cyclones will head out to challenge the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. Clair managed to slip by United South Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cyclones came up short against the Rebels on Friday, falling 18-3. The Cyclones' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Minnesota Valley Lutheran's offense. They lost 12-0 to Maple River on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Minnesota Valley Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Clair, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

St. Clair suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Minnesota Valley Lutheran in their previous matchup back in May of 2016. Can the Cyclones avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
