Basketball Game Preview: Lisbon Greyhounds vs. St. Dominic Saints

The Lisbon Greyhounds will challenge the St. Dominic Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, Lisbon turned things around against Boothbay on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Seahawks with a sharp 53-33 win.

Meanwhile, St. Dominic hadn't done well against Poland recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. St. Dominic was the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over Poland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

St. Dominic's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.1 points. As for Lisbon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Lisbon suffered a grim 71-50 defeat to St. Dominic when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Lisbon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
