Baseball Recap: North Babylon Has No Trouble Against Northport

North Babylon came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Northport Tigers on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won three games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tim Camier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because North Babylon is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jordan Konig was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Daniel Goodis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

North Babylon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

North Babylon now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Northport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

North Babylon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
