Baseball Game Preview: Ashdown Panthers vs. Lonoke Jackrabbits

The Ashdown Panthers will challenge the Lonoke Jackrabbits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lonoke took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ashdown, who comes in off a win.

Ashdown took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over Taylor.

Gunnar Altenbaumer was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was Walt Jones, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Ashdown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Lonoke's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Warren on Monday.
