San Marcos never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Newbury Park on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 33-12 win. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to San Marcos' defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Marilyn Monroy. Rylie Cook got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

San Marcos' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Newbury Park, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
