Softball Game Preview: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. North Surry Greyhounds

The Surry Central Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the North Surry Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Surry Central lost 15-1 to West Wilkes on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Surry Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Dalton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Surry). They never let Wilkes Central get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Surry Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for North Surry, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Surry Central's way against North Surry in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Surry Central made off with a 24-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Surry Central since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
