Basketball Recap: Bradford Academy Takes a Loss

Bradford Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost to the Emerson Waldorf Gnomes on the road by a 53-34 margin. The Archers were probably out for revenge after losing 42-32 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Samuel Trueblood, who went 10 of 17 on his way to 25 points for Emerson Waldorf. That makes it five consecutive games in which Trueblood has scored at least a third of Emerson Waldorf's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariano Gonzalez, who posted eight points.

Bradford Academy's record is now 1-6. As for Emerson Waldorf, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradford Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Garden Friends at 3:45 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Emerson Waldorf will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Carolina Friends at 4:15 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
