Basketball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 56-49 to the Rabun County Wildcats.

Rabun County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayes Free, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Huey Blalock, who posted 14 points and eight assists.

Providence Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Rabun County, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Providence Christian Academy will welcome Banks County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rabun County, they will venture away from home to challenge Athens Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rabun County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
