Baseball Recap: Halfway Drops Season-High Score on Walnut Grove

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Halfway). Everything went their way against the Walnut Grove Tigers on Thursday as they made off with a 22-1 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Halfway is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Walnut Grove, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-9.

Halfway has already played their next matchup (against Macks Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Walnut Grove, they will challenge Fordland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
