Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Dragons vs. Jenkins Warriors

The Jefferson Dragons will take on the Jenkins Warriors on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jefferson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-35 victory over East Hall. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Vikings are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jenkins). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Academy of Richmond County 81-14. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.

Jenkins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points over those games. As for Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.
