Baseball Game Preview: North Port Bobcats vs. Venice Indians

North Port hasn't had much luck against Venice recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. North Port is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

North Port is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Lehigh 16-1.

Blake Naylor looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rylan Bradley was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Davidson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Venice faced Trinity Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Conquerors. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

North Port's record now sits at 12-14. As for Venice, their record is now 22-3.
