Baseball Recap: Everett's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

While Everett's win against Eastern wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Quakers 12-11. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Fernando Solis, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmett Leidi, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Everett's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Eastern, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Looking ahead, Everett will head out to square off against Laingsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eastern, they will host Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
