Softball Recap: Neoga Comes Up Short

Neoga lost against Altamont back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Neoga took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Altamont. Neoga has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hannah Propst spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

Neoga's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Altamont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Neoga will challenge Tuscola at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Altamont, they will face off against Effingham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hearts have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
