Baseball Recap: Mountain Pointe Comes Up Short

Mountain Pointe lost to Arizona College Prep back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pride lost 9-3 to the Knights.

Mountain Pointe got a good showing from Aiden Pollett, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Pollett has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mountain Pointe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilio Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Mountain Pointe dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Arizona College Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Arizona College Prep will head out to take on Centennial at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Pointe will be paying especially close attention to the Knights' contest: after the Knights face off against the Coyotes, they'll take on Mountain Pointe again at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
