Volleyball Recap: Yates Center Comes Up Short

The Yates Center Wildcats came up short against the West Franklin Falcons on Saturday and fell 2-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Yates Center was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17.

Cayten Cummings paced Yates Center's offense, picking up seven kills. Cummings got some help from Tristyn Steele and her five assists. Makenzi Morrison controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Yates Center's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for West Franklin, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-10.

Yates Center has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Maranatha Christian Academy on the 27th. As for West Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Osage City on the 27th.
