Basketball Game Preview: Parma Panthers vs. Marsing Huskies

The Parma Panthers will head out to face off against the Marsing Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parma is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Saturday, Parma took their game with ease, bagging a 54-27 win over New Plymouth. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marsing, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They managed a 30-26 victory over Nampa Christian on Friday.

Marsing's win came from a few key players Parma will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lily Thoene, who posted eight points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Adyson Chadez, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Marsing smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Parma pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.6 points. As for Marsing, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-7.

Everything went Parma's way against Marsing in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Parma made off with a 60-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parma since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
