The North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg by a score of 63-54.
Drayton/Valley-Edinburg's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aleah Pokrzywinski, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Pokrzywinski pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Gullickson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
