Softball Game Preview: Rancho Christian Eagles vs. Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles

Rancho Christian will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Capistrano Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles last Friday. Rancho Christian came out on top against Capistrano Valley Christian by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rancho Christian.

Hailey Whitman was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Erickson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Whitman wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Rancho Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Capistrano Valley Christian is on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9. As for Rancho Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Rancho Christian beat Capistrano Valley Christian 7-3 when the teams last played last Friday. Will Rancho Christian repeat their success, or does Capistrano Valley Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
