Football Recap: Sharon Takes a Loss

If Sharon was riding high fresh off their 44-14 takedown of Minuteman Regional last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Stoughton Black Knights on Friday, falling 40-14. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Black Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Although Sharon took the loss, they still got scores from Joseph Seaman and Herman Chery.

Sharon now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Stoughton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Sharon and Stoughton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 233rd) will meet Archbishop Williams (ranked 110th) at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Stoughton will square off against Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (135 vs. 20).
