Baseball Recap: Moultonborough Academy Takes a Loss

If Moultonborough Academy was riding high fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Pittsburg two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 12-1 to the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks on Monday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lumberjacks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Moultonborough Academy dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lin-Wood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Moultonborough Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Sunapee at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lin-Wood will square off against rival Lisbon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
