Baseball Game Preview: Methacton Warriors vs. Boyertown Bears

The Methacton Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Boyertown Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Methacton's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Boyertown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Methacton barely beat Norristown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Eagles 9-3 on Thursday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Boyertown, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pope John Paul II on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1.

The win was the third in a row for Methacton, bringing their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Boyertown, their record now sits at 3-6.

Everything went Methacton's way against Boyertown in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Methacton made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
