Anaconda came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Powell County Wardens by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Copperheads, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory didn't come easy: Powell County scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Quincey Saltenberger had a dynamite game, getting 27 aces and eight digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Lunceford, who had 15 kills, 14 digs, and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Anaconda was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 34 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Anaconda's record now sits at 4-0.

Coming up, Anaconda will challenge Thompson Falls at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Powell County, they will square off against Lincoln County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
