Southwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Homer Pelicans. One positive for the Cowboys, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Southwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Homer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Southwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-0 loss against Weston on the 26th. As for Homer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 30-10 victory against Lincoln Prep on the 1st.
