Soccer Game Preview: Northridge vs. Woods Cross

The Northridge Knights will take on the Woods Cross Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Northridge and Bonneville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Thursday. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Woods Cross won against Bonneville last Tuesday with one goal and they decided to stick to that goal total again last Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wildcats who were credited with the victory. Woods Cross got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Roy's two. The win made it back-to-back victories for Woods Cross.

The win got Northridge back to even at 3-3. As for Woods Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Northridge beat Woods Cross by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
