Recap: Arp Tigers vs. West Rusk Raiders
The Arp Tigers suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 67-30 loss at the hands of West Rusk. Arp was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.
West Rusk was led to victory by Kamyah Lacy and Kimora Pryor. Lacy dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Pryor dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Lacy hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Lacy, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Arp has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season. As for West Rusk, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-18.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the court. West Rusk will host Jefferson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Arp will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
