Softball Recap: Mount Abram Roadrunners vs. Lisbon Greyhounds
Mount Abram had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-13 to make it ten. They came up short against the Lisbon Greyhounds, falling 18-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.
As for Lisbon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by ten runs or more this season.
For Lisbon's part, Emma Bourgoin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bourgoin was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Sophia Bowie was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Brynn Chase was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
