Baseball Recap: St. Xavier Takes Down Ranked Ballard

St. Xavier faced Ballard in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bruins a 2-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Brodie Benefield's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

At the plate, St. Xavier's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Ford, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
