Sutter had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Maxwell Panthers. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by just one run.

Sutter's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ezra Hilleary, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Sutter hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maxwell struck out seven times.

Sutter pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Maxwell, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Sutter will host Natomas at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies are facing the Nighthawks at the right time seeing as the Nighthawks are stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for Maxwell, they will take on Los Molinos at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
