            Baseball Recap: Spackenkill Spartans vs. New Paltz Huguenots        
        
		
        
        
            Spackenkill's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Monday. They skirted past the New Paltz Huguenots  6-4. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the   6-0 victory the Huguenots walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2024.

 Linus Oudom made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 14 batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dylan Boenig, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Spackenkill was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Paltz only posted a  batting average of  .192.
The  win  got Spackenkill back to even at 2-2. As for New Paltz,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Coincidentally, Spackenkill and New Paltz will both be playing Marlboro Central the next time they take the field. The Huguenots will head out to face the Dukes at 11:00  a.m.  on Tuesday, while the Spartans will head out to face them  at 12:00  p.m.  on Monday.
