Softball Game Preview: Vermilion Sailors vs. Ontario Warriors

The Vermilion Sailors will take on the Ontario Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Vermilion lost 8-1 to Port Clinton on Monday. The Sailors have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Ontario unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Ashland by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered since April 12th.

Morgan Pearson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddie Mullins, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Ontario suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 16-7. As for Vermilion, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
