Football Game Preview: Rison vs. Palestine-Wheatley

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Palestine-Wheatley should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Rison at 7:00 PM. Palestine-Wheatley have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Rison are surely hoping to exploit.

If Palestine-Wheatley were riding high off their 24-0 takedown of Brinkley three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Palestine-Wheatley were given a punishing 6-58 loss at the hands of Barton. Palestine-Wheatley's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Rison strolled past McGehee with points to spare last Friday, taking the contest 30-14.

Rison's win lifted them to 5-0 while Palestine-Wheatley's defeat dropped them down to 3-1. We'll see if Rison's success rolls on or if Palestine-Wheatley are able to steal their positive momentum.
