Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

If Roosevelt was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Torres on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rough Riders fell 2-0 to the Maranatha Minutemen on Saturday.

Maetzin Enriquez paced Roosevelt's offense, picking up seven kills. Enriquez got some help from Kaley Munoz and her nine assists. Dalia Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Maranatha, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Montebello on the 23rd. As for Maranatha, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Leuzinger on the 23rd.
