Jackson has gone 9-1 against Pike County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Red Devils will face off against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Jackson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, Jackson ended up a good deal behind Rutland and lost 58-40. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Keojay Jenkins, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and four blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Smith, who put up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Pike County lost to Callaway at home by a 69-52 margin on Tuesday. The Pirates were down 55-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Like Jackson, Pike County lost despite seeing results from several players. Nazarious McDowell led the charge by going 6-for-10 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Head, who scored 13 points.

Pike County's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Jackson has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31 boards per game. However, it's not like Pike County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Jackson skirted past Pike County 73-71 when the teams last played two weeks ago. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Head, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 30 points and five boards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Red Devils still be able to contain Head? There's only one way to find out.
