Softball Game Preview: Globe Tigers vs. Ray Bearcats

The Globe Tigers will take on the Ray Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Globe will be strutting in after a win while Ray will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Globe was able to grind out a solid victory over Florence, taking the game 14-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Zoey Tulk made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Loghan Williamson, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Antonella Franco, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to St. David.

Ray's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Globe, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

Globe got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Ray by a conclusive 21-9 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
