Basketball Recap: Beekmantown Has No Trouble Against Plattsburgh

With a playoff win on the line, Beekmantown rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took down the Plattsburgh Hornets 46-30. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Payton Parliament, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Beekmantown is 9-3 when Parliament posts ten or more boards, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Hagadorn, who posted seven points in addition to 16 rebounds and four blocks.

Beekmantown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Beekmantown's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Plattsburgh, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Beekmantown will challenge Peru at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Plattsburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
