Recap: Expression Prep Academy Lions vs. Ignite Athletics Flames

The Expression Prep Academy Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 32 points or more this season. They breezed by Ignite Athletics on the road to the tune of 66-17. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Expression Prep Academy has managed all season.

Expression Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rasheed Morrison led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Jackson Childers was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven blocks and five rebounds.

Ignite Athletics' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Hanks, who scored four points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trevor Bailey, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.

Expression Prep Academy pushed their record up to 7-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ignite Athletics, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Expression Prep Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Teays Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Teays Valley Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully Expression Prep Academy likes a good challenge. As for Ignite Athletics, they will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
