Soccer Game Preview: Apollo vs. West Point

The Apollo Hawks will take on the West Point Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Apollo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Apollo managed to keep up with Independence until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Apollo lost 5-0 to Independence.

Meanwhile, West Point made easy work of Camelback on Monday and carried off a 6-1 win. Considering the Dragons have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Apollo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for West Point, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Apollo beat West Point 3-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Will Apollo repeat their success, or does West Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
