Volleyball Recap: Alpaugh Comes Up Short

Alpaugh suffered their biggest defeat since September 9th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Kings Christian Crusaders. The Buffalos have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Alpaugh was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Alpaugh saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aydette Ontiveros had 20 digs and one assist.

Alpaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Kings Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

Coincidentally, Alpaugh and Kings Christian will both be playing Riverdale Christian the next time they take the court. The Crusaders will head out to face the Ambassadors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Buffalos will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
