Basketball Recap: Larned Takes a Loss

Larned lost against Hillsboro back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Larned Indians took a 28-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Trojans. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Larned's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Hillsboro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5-1.

Larned and Hillsboro could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Larned (ranked 120th) will meet Hesston (ranked second) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Hillsboro will challenge Halstead at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 47 places (55 vs. 8).
