Davidson took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against McGill-Toolen, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Davidson had just enough and edged out McGill-Toolen 7-6. The win was just business as usual for the Warriors, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Ca'Leah Perryman was excellent, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sophia Edmondson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for McGill-Toolen, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davidson will face off against UMS-Wright Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McGill-Toolen, they will square off against Baldwin County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Baldwin County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so McGill-Toolen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
