Baseball Game Preview: Madison Warhawks vs. Christian Patriots

For the second straight game, Madison will face off against Christian. The Warhawks will host the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Madison came out on top against Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Warhawks took their contest against the Patriots 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

For Christian's part, Logan Major put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Major also tossed a walk, which is notable because Christian is 5-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-12 otherwise. Major was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Major wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Joey Nunez, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.
