Baseball Recap: Maranatha Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Maranatha Christian came up short against Santa Fe Christian, falling 8-2. Maranatha Christian was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Santa Fe Christian earlier this season, when they won 9-6.

Maranatha Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-19. As for Santa Fe Christian, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maranatha Christian will square off against La Jolla Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Torreys will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will take on Bishop's at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
