Recap: Highland Park Owls vs. Dunellen Destroyers

The Highland Park Owls lost against the Dunellen Destroyers on January 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Highland Park fell 66-54 to Dunellen. Highland Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Dunellen to victory were Vibert Reynolds and Ryan Hutchins. Reynolds scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Hutchins scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hutchins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joel Cruz, who scored nine points.

Highland Park has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Dunellen, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Highland Park will be playing in front of their home fans against South Amboy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunellen, they will head out on the road to face off against Perth Amboy Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Perth Amboy Vo-Tech is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
