Baseball Recap: Milford Mill Academy Comes Up Short

Milford Mill Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Owings Mills Golden Eagles. The Millers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Milford Mill Academy got a massive performance out of Ethan Jones, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah James, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.

Milford Mill Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Owings Mills, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford Mill Academy will host Woodlawn at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Owings Mills, they will be playing at home against Patapsco at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
