Cascade strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Greencastle Tiger Cubs to the tune of 98-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cadets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Tiger Cubs are ranked 205th).

Cascade got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Farmer out in front who rushed for 64 yards and two scores on only five carries, and also caught one touchdown. Dayton Mink was in the mix as well, providing the Cadets with three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cascade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 315 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 193 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Another reason for the win was Cascade's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Toby Savini and Timothy Turner Jr, who racked up four sacks between them.

Cascade's record now sits at 7-0. As for Greencastle, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cascade will take on rival Southmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cadets 11.3, the Mounties 11.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Greencastle is set to challenge their familiar foe Crawfordsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
