Basketball Game Preview: White Station Spartans vs. Cedar Grove Saints

The White Station Spartans and the Cedar Grove Saints will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as White Station comes in on six and Cedar Grove on three.

While White Station didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 59-55 win over North Atlanta on Friday.

Meanwhile, Cedar Grove earned a 61-48 victory over Siegel on Friday. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in Georgia, while the Stars are ranked 112th in Tennessee), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cedar Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for White Station, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
