Baseball Game Preview: DePaul College Prep Rams vs. St. Rita Mustangs

For the second straight game, DePaul College Prep will face off against St. Rita. The Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. DePaul College Prep is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for DePaul College Prep after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of St. Rita by a score of 4-3.

For St. Rita's part, Justin Buckner looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Buckner has become a key player for the Mustangs: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, St. Rita's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colin Quinn, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

DePaul College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for St. Rita, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
